Spicy Latin Jazz fue fundó hace 5 años por Arturo Villarreal (guitarrista, el compositor) y Alfonso Lewis (teclado, el saxo, el compositor y el arreglista) que compartió una pasión para el jazz y el alma. La adición de Ariel Valdes (bajista) y Luis Mitil (bateria) agregó profundidad que permite el grupo para realizar Jazz latino, el Acobardamiento y el Alma.
Spicy Latin Jazz was founded 5 years ago by Arturo Villarreal (guitarist, composer) and Alfonso Lewis (keyboard, sax, composer and arranger) who shared a passion for jazz and soul. The addition of Ariel Valdes (bassist) and Luis Mitil (drummer) added depth allowing the group to perform Latin Jazz, Funk and Soul.

Arturo Villarreal: Es el líder de banda y buscó a guitarrista internacionalmente aclamado, el compositor, productor de arreglista y música y registrar a artista (incluyendo para la televisión). Ha jugado con artistas inclusive Eduardo Crocamo, Juan Carlos de Leon, Babito Docarmo, Nando Lopez, y los grupos como Yordano, Ingrid De Ycaza, Priscila Moreno y la Banda de Bossaleros, Alejandro La Grotta, la Evolución, la Banda de Brenda Lau, Tuira de Romulo Castro y Luis Bonilla.
Arturo Villarreal: is the band leader and sought after internationally acclaimed guitarist, composer, arranger and music producer and recording artist (including for television). He has played with artists including Eduardo Crocamo, Juan Carlos de Leon, Babito Docarmo, Nando Lopez, and groups such as Yordano, Ingrid Of Ycaza, Priscila Moreno and the Bossaleros Band, Alejandro La Grotta, Evolution, the Brenda Lau Band, Tuira de Romulo Castro and Luis Bonilla.
Alfonzo Lewis Jr. : Estudió saxofón y piano como un estudiante en la Facultad de bellas artes en la Universidad de Panamá. Además de jugar varios otros instrumentos él ha llegado a ser un arreglista aclamado, productor de compositor y música habiendo trabajado con artistas como Gilberto Santa Rosa, Luis Fonsi, los Tonos Vega, Cano Estremera, David Pabon.
Alfonzo Lewis Jr. : studied saxophone and piano as a student in the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Panama. In addition to playing several other instruments he has become an acclaimed arranger, composer and music producer having worked with artists such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Luis Fonsi, Toni Vega, Cano Estremera, David Pabon.
Ariel Valdés Turner: completó un jazz mayor bajo en la Universidad de Panamá en 2003, unió la Base de Daniel Perez en 2009 y continuó sus estudios en Berklee, la Universidad de Nueva Inglaterra, el Invernadero de Puerto Rico. Empezó su carrera profesional como un bajista de jazz en 2010 y ha jugado con artistas de jazz inclusive Carlos Ubarte, Arturo Villareal, Nando López, Aldo Salvent, Alejandro Chiabrando, Wichy López, Dino Nugent, Víctor Di Lorenzo.
Ariel Valdés Turner : completed a jazz bass major at the University of Panama in 2003, joined the Daniel Perez Foundation in 2009 and continued his studies at Berklee, University of New England, Conservatory of Puerto Rico. He began his professional career as a jazz bassist in 2010 and has played with jazz artists including Carlos Uarte, Arturo Villareal, Nando López, Aldo Salvent, Alejandro Chiabrando, Wichy López, Dino Nugent, Víctor Di Lorenzo.
Luis Mitil: El desempeño estudiado de la batería en la Academia de Música de Los Angeles, el tímpano, la marimba con Shane William de la Escuela de Julliard de Música, y golpeteando con Chale Icaza y el profesor Vicente Elcock de la Orquesta Nacional de Panamá. Es actualmente un profesor de baterías y percusión en Conservatorio de Panamá. Ha jugado con varios artistas inclusive Carlos Ubarte, Pricila Moreno, Aniel Mejia, Alfredo Gasnell, Manuel Escala, Arturo Villarreal, la Orquesta de jazz latina Picante, Duran Duran y realizado en el 2008 Festival de Batería de Panamá.
Luis Mitil: studied drum performance at the Los Angeles Music Academy, timpani, marimba with Shane Williams of the Julliard School of Music, and drumming with Chale Icaza and professor Vicente Elcock of the National Orchestra of Panama. He is currently a professor of drums and percussion at Panama Academy of Music. He has played with several artists including Carlos Ubarte, Pricila Moreno, Aniel Mejia, Alfredo Gasnell, Manuel Escala, Arturo Villarreal, Spicy Latin Jazz Band, Duran Duran and performed at the 2008 Panama Drum Festival.
